AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

BANDAGING AND WASHING

Keep bandage for 3-5 hours or as long as your artist recommends and gently wash it with warm water and unscented  antibacterial soap removing any ointment, excess ink or blood from your fresh tattoo.

Gently pad dry it with a clean towel. DO NOT rub dry it as this could damage the tattoo and once dry, apply a thin layer of ointment or uncented lotion recommended by your artist.

DO NOT re-bandage your tattoo as it needs to breathe in order to heal. Soft, breathable clothes is best to help the healing process, avoid tight, constricting clothes or any material that may rub against your fresh tattoo.

PEELING, SCABBING, ETC

Your tattoo should begin to peel and flake 3-5 days after your tattoo session. Light Scabbing can also occur at this stage. DO NOT pick at or scratch your tattoo! If your tattoo is itchy, applying a thin layer of lotion should help. Treat your tattoo gently while healing and in the event that some damage has occurred during the healing process, feel free to reach out to your artist.

MOISTURIZING

Please use whatever lotion or ointment recommended by your artist. Moisturiser should be applied 3-5 times per day or until your tattoo is healed ( 1-2 weeks). Gently massage a very thin layer of lotion/ointment into your tattoo. BE CAREFUL NOT TO oversaturate your tattoo.
